Iran Floorball Association (IFA) has provided floorball equipment to different cities with help from the IFF and UNIHOC. IFA has also organised floorball tournaments, and a coaching course for Special Olympic coaches will be held this month.
The IFA has send floorball equipment throughout the country. All together 178 sticks and 230 balls have been send to cities such as Karaj, Isfahan, Uromieh, Golestan, South Khorasan, Gilan, Sari and Semnan:
– The cities are now more equipped and are working hard for the tournaments that lie ahead, says the IFA President, Ramezenali Davalo. The project was made possible with the help of the IFF and the IFF Partner UNIHOC.
Neighborhood floorball tournaments are hosted by the Tehran 16 district municipality. The mayor of the municipality Mr. Javad Mirzagholi has informed that the first round of these tournaments is held in the Setare sport complex from 21th of July till 11th of August. The aim of the tournament is to bring the neighboring teams together. The teams taking part in the tournament are Bagh Azari, Khazane, Javadieh, Nazi Abad, North Ali Abad, Shahrak Besat, Takhti and South Ali Abad.
A coaching course for the Special Olympic coaches will be held at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences in Tehran during the 17th round of Special Olympic Games 6-7.8.2016. 16 coaches from six different regions will take part in the event.
