The IWAS Powerchair Hockey (Floorball) European Championship (EC) was played July 13th – 18th 2016 in DeRijp, Netherlands.

The home team Netherlands were triumphant at the IWAS Powerchair Hockey (Floorball) European Championship (EC) that was played last week. In the final they won against Italy 7-2. The Netherlands were already the reigning World Champions as well as the European Champions. Germany came third as they won the bronze match against Belgium 9-1.

Powerchair Hockey
(Previously called Electric Wheelchair Hockey)
The IWAS Committee of Powerchair Hockey (ICPH) is a sport section of the International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports Federation, IWAS, and is the International head committee of Powerchair Hockey (PCH). The sport is also known as electric wheelchair floorball in some of the IFF Member Associations.
This sport is suitable for severely handicapped players, some of which use a normal floorball sticks and players with more severe handicaps play with so-called T- sticks on the front of the wheelchair.
