The national team players Michelle Wiki (SUI) and Mika Kohonen (FIN) are both playing in the Swedish top league (SSL) next season.

The Swiss national team player Michelle Wiki is transferring from UHC Dietlikon (SUI) to KAIS Mora (SWE). Both teams won the silver medal last season. Wiki is known for her accurate shot. Last season she was the top scorer of the Swiss top league (NLA) with impressive 61 points (50+11). Scoring is also one of her goals next season:
– My personal goal is to improve my playing and learn Swedish. And also putting the ball behind the goalie, Wiki says with a smile.

Wiki says she chose KAIS Mora because of the club’s good reputation:
– I chose KAIS Mora because I had heard only good things about them, especially from Silvana Nötzli who played in KAIS Mora for a long time. One time I visited her in Sweden and I also liked what I saw.

The Finnish national team player Mika Kohonen is transferring back to Sweden after playing in the Finnish club SPV for a season. Kohonen, who has been chosen as the world’s best player five times, is transferring to FC Helsingborg. FC Helsingborg’s sports manager Juha Kivilehto said the decision to recruit Kohonen was easy:
– We had to get a new centre forward, since Jani Kukkola left. We weren’t looking only for a substitute, but for a leader, a player who knows what it takes to win. Mika’s name came up, when we started to think about options. In the end, we found the common tune quite fast and it all connected.

Kohonen has two WFC titles and three SSL titles, but last season with SPV fell short. Playing again in the SSL, might be a challenge for the floorball legend:
– Mika has to prove himself, just like any other player. But we didn’t drag him here to sit on the bench. I’m glad that we got him, says Kivilehto.
