The Italian Championships for women and men under 19 were held a few weeks ago. SS Lazio Floorball won both titles.

The U19 Championships were played 7-8th of May. SS Lazio Floorball played against Laives The Butchers in the final. Home team SS Lazio Floorball took a clear win against Laives the Butchers in the decisive match. SS Lazio Floorball’s secret behind their superior win was their good defense, fast counter attacks and precise shots. This is the team’s first title. SSV Diamante Bozen came third in the tournament and won bronze.

The reigning champion Floorball L’Aquila met SS Floorball Lazio in the women’s final last weekend. Floorball L’Aquila was the favourite since they had won the title for four years in a row. The first match was played in L’Aquila and to the home crowd’s disappointment, SS Floorball Lazio won the match 6-4.
In the next match in Rome, Floorball L’Aquila was doing everything they could in order to hold on to their title. However the home team’s strong defense and fast attacks were too much for Floorball L’Aquila. SS Floorball Lazio won the second match 9-6 and won the championship title. One of the heroes of SS Floorball Lazio was 15-year-old Camilla Olshov who scored 10 points in two days. The team captain Giulia Nardi also scored six goals.
