Dear Floorball friends,

On behalf of the International Floorball Federation I great all participating teams, from all over the world, heartily welcome to the historic first visit to the city of Belleville, Ontario, in Canada, for the WFC U19 Women Championships in Floorball.

Floorball development in the Americas is vital for building our sport. The Americas is a key market for success. So I am particularly pleased to see us on Canadian soil these WFC U19 Championships in Floorball. In order to spread and promote and speed up the development in Floorball internationally, events in the Americas has a huge impact. Over the last few years we are looking at rapid growth in both Canada and the USA, in aspects of growth of number of players, events arranged and the general knowhow of Floorball. We are all in this together, the IFF, the National Associations, the cities that arrange these events, and all co-operating partners. Over the last years by attracting events, as WFC qualifiers, WFC as now in Belleville, and upcoming World Games 2021 in Alabama, Birmingham, USA, we have golden opportunities to promote and grow Floorball both nationally and internationally.

In order to promote Floorball, streaming all matches on the internet is important, as is cooperation with the media and partners. Floorball is one of the fastest growing sports in regards to TV attractiveness by always having all IFF Events streamed.

We are looking forward to exciting matches, and I convey big thanks to the city of Belleville, and to Floorball Canada.
