The 10th National Floorball Championship for Men and Women was played in India 14-16.1.2016
410 players from 16 states took part in the Indian National Floorball Championship for Men and Women last month. During the three-day tournament, 63 games were played and the people were overwhelmed by the growing popularity of the sport.
Many influental persons participated in the opening ceremony such as the Dr. Prabhat Kumar, President of the Indian Floorball Federation (InFF) and Mrs. Maya Singh, Minister of Women and Child Development, as well as personnel from the ITM University.
In both the Men’s and Women’s category, Delhi was the strongest team and took the first place. In addition to the top teams, awards were given to the best player, best goalkeeper, best defender and the rising star player.

Mr. Rama Shankar Singh, Chancellor of ITM University, announced during the tournament that the ITM University will build a floorball arena soon. The sport keeps on growing in India and the President of InFF, Dr. Prabhat Kumar is confident that floorball will become the most popular game in India.
