Århus Elite Floorball won against Brønderslev 5-1 in their first championship finals ever. Frederikshavn Bulldogs won the Women´s Final with 8-3.

There was a spectacular event in Aalborg Stadionhal on Saturday 24th April, when the Danish Men´s and Women´s Floorball Championships Finals were determined.

A new champion was crowned in the Men´s category when Århus Elite Floorball and Brønderslev Hot Shots met. Brønderslev has previously played in the championship finals in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, but has only won one gold medal, which was in 2006.

Århus Elite Floorball was the stronger team in the Finals and in particular, four of the Århus Swedish players made life difficult for Brønderslev who once more had to go home with the silver medals. Århus Elite Floorball also won the Danish Cup final in December, making them the third Danish men´s team has managed to take home “the double”. Bulldogs regained the trophy

In the Women´s Final Frederikshavn Bulldogs regained the gold medals after winning against Rødovre FC that after a superb season in eastern Denmark were in their first championship finals.

The Frederikshavn Bulldogs were however too strong for the Rødovre team that could take home the victory with 8-3 after a convincing performance. The match statistics from the Women´s Final are found here.
