The first Floorball sports class has been opened in Kiev Liceum (high school of Kiev) starting from 1st of September 2009. The pupils are trained by a professional coach, Mr. Matsaenko Nikolay, a former ice-hockey player, who is now a full time floorball coach at the high school of Kiev.

The children at the school are focused on both floorball and school. They live at the school where they have three Floorball trainings a day for one year.

The floorball class was made possible with the support of the Ukraine Education Ministry as the Education ministry supports the accommodation etc. The Ukrainian Floorball Union´s aim with the floorball school is to train and develop skilful new floorball players for the future Ukrainian floorball teams.
