Tigers SJM in the Women´s semi-finals
Tigers SJM won the morning match against Målløs Hurricanes and secured their place in the Women´s semi-final. Tigers settled the match already in the first period as the score was 5-1 after 20 minutes. The final result was 9-2 to Tigers.
The most effective players were Anet Jarolimova with 4+0 and Kristina Jilkova with 0+3. Jarolimova and Jilkova are also currently the top scorers in the Women´s group B, Jilkova with 3+4 and Jarolimova with 3+3, but Dietlikon and Red Ants still have one group match left. This match will decide which team will be the second team in the semis from group B.
Jarolimova and Lene Moen were elected best players.
Tapanilan Erä into the semis without losses
In the Men´s EFC Tapanilan Erä crushed Jõgeva SK Tähe with 9-2 and Jõgeva has still not managed to win a match in the tournament.
Lauri Lehtonen and Tõnis Vähi were elected as best players.
UHC Dietlikon won the Women´s group B
A dramatic game was played between Dietlikon and the Red Ants as both teams were playing for a place in the semi-finals.
The Red Ants would have needed to win with three goals in order to qualify and they led with 7-3 with 10 minutes left of the match, but Dietlikon was able to score the needed goals and reduced the Red Ants lead to only one goal. The final result was 7-6 to the Red Ants, but Dietlikon will play in the semi-finals.
The Red Ants was the sharper team in the first period, leading with two goals, 3-1, before the break.
The tables turned in the second period. First Dietlikon created better scoring chances and in 22.34 Simone Berner utilized a penalty shot opportunity and the Red Ants lead was reduced to one goal. In 35.28 Dietlikon defender, Cornelia Scott, scored her second in the match and evened the score to 3-3.
The Red Ants offensive line with Julia Suter, Alexandra Frick and Andrea Hofstetter stepped up in the third period and their quick legs and passes took the Red Ants to a 5-3 lead. Julia Suter´s second goal then took Red Ants to the needed three goal lead in 46.38 and Dietlikon needed a time out, but more was to still to come as Sandra Dirksen shot the 7th goal for the Red Ants.
Then it was Dietlikon´s turn, first Sarah Schäffer reduced the lead from a small angle and then Natalie Stadelmann took Dietlikon back to the needed 2 goal difference. Now it was time for Red Ants time out after which they played without the goalie. This however led to one goal more for Dietlikon, who will play in the Women´s 2nd semi-final at 13:00 CET tomorrow against the 2nd team in group A, Classic or IKSU.
Scott and Suter were elected as best players.
Lekrings – UHC Sparkasse 5-2
With a victory Sparkasse would also had chance to the playoffs, but it was Lekrings who took the lead already in the first minutes and in the end won the match with three goals. Toms Rismanis (2+1) scored the two important first goals and also Martins Rajeckis (2+2) was effective in the match.
If SSV wins the match against Rodovre today at 20:00 CET, Lekrings will qualify to the semi-finals.
Rajeckis and Sebastian Bernieck were elected as best players.
SV Wiler-Ersigen to the semi-finals
The Swiss team SV Wiler-Ersigen took the second place in the group B by winning the Czech SC Vitkovice and will continue the tournament in the semi-finals. Wiler was able to make the needed goals and the final result was 4-0.
Both Wiler-Ersigen and Vitkovice played skillful floorball and there was speed in the game. Even though Wiler controlled the ball more, also the young and talented Vitkovice players were able to create good scoring opportunities. The biggest difference between the teams was that the more experienced Wiler players were able to finalize the scoring opportunities.
Especially the first line of Wiler-Ersigen played effectively, defender Mattias Wallgren shot the opening goal and Matthias Hofbauer increased the lead already to 3-0 in the second period. Vitkovice were offered good chances for scoring during five power plays, but they did not succeed to get the ball past Daniel Streit in the Wiler-goal.
Wiler will play in the semi-final 1 at 16:00 CET tomorrow against the winner of group A.
Tight victory for Rubene over Bulldogs
The home team Frederikshavn Bulldogs had not scored any goals in the first two matches, but this changed in the third match. Only 40 seconds were played when the 17-year old Cecilia di Nardo scored the first Bulldogs goal in the tournament. The match was equal, both teams scored in turns and offered excitement to the full house of spectators.
The breaking point of the match was seen on both sides of the second intermission. Bulldogs took a penalty and Rubene was able to tie the match to 3-3 during power play, only 30 seconds before the intermission. In the first minute of the third period Edite Bankava scored her third goal in the match and Rubene took the lead first time in the match. The 4-3 result was also the final score and therefore Rubene will play tomorrow for the 5th place of the tournament and Bulldogs for the 7th place.
IKSU winner of Women´s group A
IKSU was better at all parts of the game in the last Women´s group match against SC Classic and continue to the semi-finals without any losses. The final result was 8-2 to IKSU. IKSU will play against the Tigers and Classic against Dietlikon in the semi-finals tomorrow.
The ball was not seen many times in IKSU´s defensive zone as Classic was not able to get the ball passed IKSU´s aggressive fore checking. Due to good saves by Mirella Eskola Classic was still able to keep the numbers low as the score was 2-0 to IKSU after goals scored by Anna Wijk and Cassandra Edberg.
Katriina Saarinen did not play at all in the match today and also some other Classic´s first line players as well as the goalie Eskola rested after the first period.
The game continued in the same manner, IKSU controlled the ball and created many scoring opportunities, but in the second period it was Kreeta Lakkala who made some tremendous saves in the goal. After 14 minutes played in the period, IKSU made two fast goals, the latter scored by Edberg again. Also Frida Stenvall scored her second of the night, 6-0 for IKSU.
Six goals remained the final goal difference as both team scored two goals in the final period.

SSV in the semi versus Wiler-Ersigen
Mikael Lax scored the first two goals for SSV against Rødovre FC, but Rødovre´s Claus Nissen managed to even the score to 1-1. This score only lasted for a minute as the defender Lax then scored his second. The score was 2-1 after 20 minutes.
The heavy shot by the defender Lax found the net the third time in the final period. Also Rein Kivi was effective with 0+3 and he was elected as best player. The final result was 7-1 to SSV.
Peter Scheibel was elected as Rodovre´s best player.
