During the power play opportunity, Alexandra Frick first broke loose, but Hana Vánová made an important save and only seconds later Steglova scored a 6-4 power play goal.

Erä secured 1st place in group B with last minute goal

The top match in Men´s group B was played between SV Wiler-Ersigen and Tapanilan Erä, who had both won their first matches.

The teams led the match in turns, but in the end it was Tapanilan Erä who took the points with the result 6-5. Lauri Kapanen shot the decisive goal only 30 seconds before the end.

The tempo of the match varied a lot as the teams changed tactics during the match. Some times Erä was pressing the Swiss defenders aggressively and then suddenly they dropped the fore checking really low. Also Wiler altered the tempo of their man cover defence.

Erä had the lead when the third period started, but with effective special situation play Wiler-Ersigen scored twice and it looked like the match would turn to them. Erä was however able to tie the match once again as Jani Helenius shot his second goal in the match. The decisive goal was shot by the most effective player of the match, Lauri Kapanen (4+0), after a quick pass from the corner. Wiler-Ersigen had a wider scale of scorers, all five goals were scored by different players.

The best players of the match were Kapanen and Joel Krähenbühl.

With the victory Erä secured the first place in Men´s group B. SV Wiler-Ersigen will meet Vitkovice in the last match and the winner of that match will take the second spot in the semi-finals. For Wiler also a draw will be enough to secure the second place in the group.
