The reigning Finnish champion, SSV Helsinki, is the favourite in group A although SSV has not had the best start of the season. SSV is currently placed 5th in the Finnish League.

Team Lekrings, which is currently leading the Latvian league, can also be a strong team to qualify to the semis.

Men´s Group B:

SV Wiler-Ersigen
SSK Vitkovice
Tapanilan Erä
Jögeva SK Tähe
The Group B is a tough group where the Czech and Swiss champions as well as the silver medallists from Finland will play for two spots in the semis.

SV Wiler Ersigen is currently leading the Swiss Mobiliar league and Vitkovice is 2nd in the Fortuna extra liga whereas Tapanilan Erä is currently 4th in the Finnish Salibandyliiga.

Women´s Group A:

IKSU
SC Classic
Frederikshavn Bulldogs
Rubene
The reigning EFC champion, IKSU, will be challenged by the Finnish champion SC Classic that wishes to improve the placement from last year´s EFC (5th). Both IKSU and Classic are currently placed 2nd in the national leagues.

Rubene from Latvia and the home team Frederikshavn Bulldogs will challenge the two favourites.

Women´s Group B:

UHC Dietlikon
Tigers SJM
Red Ants Rychenberg
Målløs Hurricanes
The group B can become a tough battle between the two top teams from Switzerland as the teams currently placed 1st and 3rd in the Mobiliar league will play in the same group.

Also the Tigers SJM have had a good start of the season, currently leading the Czech league, and might become a tough opponent.
