During the Foundation meeting held on the 11th of May 2009, Mr. Boncho Zlatev was elected as President of the Executive Board of the Bulgarian Floorball Federation. Mr. Antonio Antonov and Mr. Valentin Velev were elected as members on Executive Board.

Currently the foundation documents have been submitted for registration in the Sofia City Court and after the court registration the Federation is applying for a license in the Bulgarian Ministry of Sport.

Three Floorball clubs established

There are now three Floorball clubs established in Bulgaria, HC NSA, HC University of Mining and Geology and HC Mechkitel, which is the minimum for founding a National Sports Federation in Bulgaria. The first club was established in October 2008, read more here. Currently the clubs are developing training activities for children and students. The aim is to establish two more clubs by the end of 2009.

The BFF is planning to organise the first state championship in Floorball in Bulgaria in December 2009. Floorball is also introduced as an optional subjects in the National Sports Academy (University) in Sofia. In the new academic year Floorball students who are educated for PE teachers will have a 10 days training course in Floorball.
