After intensive discussions with the Austrian Floorball Association the coaches Renato Wyss and Lutz Gahlert decided to take over the Austrian men´s national team.
Both coaches have many years of experiences from Germany, where both worked with junior and adult men players. In the WFC 2008 Wyss & Gahlert coached the German Men´s team to the WFC B-division victory.
Mr. Wyss & Gahlert will be part of different projects in order to develop and promote Floorball in Austria during the next years. The Austrian Floorball Assocation´s president Dr. Werner Daves invited both coaches to the federal and leisure center Maria Alm Hintermoos, in order to present Wyss and Gahlert to the crew and to launch the starting signal for a co-operation of many years.
“This is a big challenge for us”, said the former German national team coach, Renato Wyss. Whether the two will succeed as they have done Germany is to be seen in the upcoming World Floorball Championships Qualifications to be played in February 2010.
