Dekanka Praha won the Women´s Extraliga in Czech Republic. The reigning Champion renewed their title by winning TJ JM Chodov in the Final series with three straight victories.

Both Dekanka Praha and TJ JM Chodov had won their Semi-Final series with 3-0. In the Finals Dekanka was one step ahead through the whole series and won the Championship.

The first final was tight for the first two periods. In the third period Dekanka scored five goals and took the first victory with the result 7-1. The second Final, whicj was televised by Czech TV4, was won by Dekanka 4-0.

With two victories from the first two finals Dekanka had the chance to settle the series in the third final. The importance of the match was seen in strong defence by both teams and half of the match was played before the first goal was scored by Dekanka´s Kristyna Jilkova.

In the third period Anet Jarolimova kept the hopes up for Chodov by scoring the equalizer. The joy from this goal was however short as only one minute after, Lucia Kosturiakova scored and took the lead again for Dekanka.

In the last minutes the experienced team of Dekanka was more effective and they were able to increase the lead. Magdalena Sindelova scored twice just before the match ended and finally the score was 5-2 to Dekanka. This victory was enough for Dekanka Praha to decide the Final series and renew their Championship victory.

As the Czech champion, Dekanka Praha is directly qualified to the EuroFloorball Cup finals to be played in Denmark on the 14th – 18th of October 2009.

The TJ JM Chodov will also have the possibility to make it to the EFC final through the EFC Top 4 Qualifications to be played in the end of August.
