The Viennese Club SU Vienna won the Austrian Women´s Championships again this year. They needed just two matches to defeat IBC Leoben in the best of three -finals.

In the first match, which was played in Leoben, SU Vienna played good floorball. Especially in the first period Vienna  controlled the game situations and won the match with 8-4.

The second match was played in Vienna. The match was really tight all the way to the end. The final result was 5-4 for SU Vienna.

The Swiss player Ursina Jaeger and Austria’s national team captain Theresa Fürtbauer are both playing for SU Vienna and they were leading their team to victories with a great fighting spirit.

The top scorer in the Austrian Women´s League was Anja Zotter from IBC Leoben.

 

VSV and TVZ Wikings Zell/See in the Men´s Finals

In the Men´s Austrian League, the Finals have also started. VSV and TVZ Wikings Zell/See fought again their way to the Finals and will decide the destiny of the Championship title. In the Semi-Finals  both teams won their opponets quite clearly, VSV beat SU Vienna and TVZ Winkings Zell/See defeated UHC Linz.

The Finals will be decided in a best of three series. The first Final was played in the home arena of Wikings Zell/See and the winner was the away team VSV. Their young and hungry players fought toughly for the victory and the result was 5 -2 for VSV. The decisive matches of the Austrian Men´s Championships are played on 18th and 19th of April.
