At the end of last year Serbian Floorball Association (SFA) held a presentation in Kragujevac, town in central Serbia.
The players went to the elementary school “Milutin and Draginja Todorovic” where they played a promo game and showed the basics of floorball to the students.
Not only the students, but also the school Principal was very interested to introduce floorball in the school and he showed great enthusiasm. The school had even made the goal cages themselves and the goal creases and goalkeeper areas were marked in the school gym.
SFA donated sticks and balls to the children, and the Exel/Canadien representative from Slovenia (InSport) provided two goalie equipments. This promotional event resulted in Serbia having its first youth floorball team.
In January 2009, another presentation was held, this time to the university and high school students from Novi Sad, a town in the north of the country. By the end of January SFA will show them how to organise and run Floorball trainings and will donate some sticks to the new floorball players from Novi Sad hoping that very soon there will be a new floorball club.
