The Swedish WFC team played the last match before the World Championships in Czech Republic on Thursday evening and faced a tough loss 5-6 (0-2, 3-1, 2-3) against a Swedish challenger team. The Latvian WFC team will also play two matches during the weekend versus Nokian KrP, a team that is currently placed 11th in the Finnish Floorball League.

The Swedish challenger team was already in a 3-0 lead in the second period, but the WFC team could come back and tied the score to 3-3 after goals scored by David Gillek, Niklas Jihde and Magnus Svensson. Kimmo Eskelinen took the WFC team into the lead for the first time in the third period, but the challengers could then settle the match by winning with 6-5. There were 1 475 spectators following the match in Falu Kuriren Arena. The most effective players were Jonas Adriansson (1+2), Johannes Skog (2+0) ad Peter Bodén (1+1) from the challenger´s team and Kimmo Eskelinen (2+0) from the WFC team. The roster of the challenger team can be found here.
