The Great British Floorball Youth league had it’s final matches of the season Sunday 11th May at held at the GL1 Centre in Gloucester, and what a final it was.

All the teams that have entered this season have been playing in a league which started November 2007 all playing a total of 6 league matches.

The league has given Youth Floorball a very high profile and has actively encouraged young people aged from 8-15.  The league is split for years 5-7 in a junior youth league and yrs  8-10.

The last matches of the season showed an excellent standard of play the winning team of the Senior Youth was the Ilmington Eagles they drew on points with the Hawks, however came first with a goal difference of 4.  In second place was the Hawks, Third Campden Dragons and fourth Cobras junior.  Through out the whole season these games have been very close in scores and. standard of play.

The Junior Youth League was also won by Ilmington Eagles junior team they had 54 points, second Willersey Wizards 47 points. Third Iliminton A team with 37 points, fourth St Catherines, fifth Dormer House, sixth Ilmington B, seventh Mickleton.

All the matches have been referee and scribed by young people ages from 9-15.

The GBFF is now getting ready for the National Youth Florball Cup again held at the GL1 centre on the weekend 5th and 6th of July, we are having teams form Bolton, Lancs attending and Farnham in Surrey.  Hopefully teams form London, Swindon and Scotland will attend.
