Distinguished guests and Floorball friends,

On behalf of the International Floorball Federation (IFF) I have the pleasure and honour to announce the third edition of the U19 Women World Floorball Championships in Poland.

The Polish Floorball Association is organizing the WFC U19 in good co-operation with the cities of Babimost, Wolsztyn & Zbaszyn. This will be an interesting event, and we are all full of expectations, and since the Polish FA was reorganized very successfully a few years ago, we have seen a stabile and developing association emerging due to good management!

Starting from this January 2008, the international calendar is being implemented, and hence during 2008, we will for the first time the WFC U19 in May. It will be a hectic 2008 for all associations, teams and organizers, but we feel that the change will be very successful for our members and more adapted both to the Floorball season and to the media at large, and substantially less clashes of interest with other sporting events.

On the international level the “family” is constantly growing, and IFF today consists of 46 member associations and is still growing, and we already meet with all Olympic criteria and requirements, and hence handed in our IOC recognition application in December to be handled by the IOC in 2008.

The Polish Floorball Association is very active and has already organized IFF seminars, and early also organizes the Polish Cup, and is actively taking part in promoting the sport regionally, and hence supporting its neighbours, and for this the IFF is very pleased.

The IFF conveys many thanks to the Polish Floorball Association and Mr Budzinski and his team, in cooperation with the cities of Babimost, Wolsztyn & Zbaszyn for organizing the WFC U19 Women.
