The President of the Slovak Republic, His Excellency Mr. Ivan Gašparovič, is the official patron of the upcoming Men’s C-Division World Floorball Championship.

The Vice President of the Slovak Floorball Association (SFA), Mr. Daniel Granec, and Secretary General, Mr. Peter Žák, addressed His Excellency with the plea to accept the patronage of the top floorball community occasion.

“Based on the publicly known information, that President is former sportsman and big sport fan, we have decided to kindly ask for a patronage of a significant event such as World Championship. To our greatest happiness, he accepted and became the official patron of the Championship”, said Daniel Granec.

“Since preparation is in the full swing, such positive information fulfils us with the new energy. Moreover, it is very positive also because we start to see that several years of hard work is finally becoming fruitful”, Daniel Granec added.
