The final day of the WFC 2007 started with the match for the 5th place, Denmark versus Czech Republic.

Sweden-Czech Republic/Päivi VäänänenThe Czech team was more active and gave pressure high in the Danish zone. Denmark fore checked more passively and relied more on counter attacks. The Czechs therefore controlled the ball in the first period, but Denmark also got into a few very good scoring opportunities from their counter attacks. No goal was however scored in the first period.

The Czechs continued to give pressure in the second period which paid off. In 25.22 Kristýna Jílková scored the first goal for Czech Republic. After the Czech goal the game was tighter and when Pernille Aagaard got a scoring opportunity, she did not miss, the game was a tie again. Then the Czech team got their legs moving and Denmark was in trouble. In 32.22 Petra Valjentová scored the leading goal for Czech Republic and Markéta Matejková increased the lead to 3-1, which was the result after two periods.

Denmark-Switzerland/Päivi VäänänenWhen Kristýna Jílková scored her second goal of the match to 4-1 for the Czechs the game looked to be over, but then Denmark, who now started to give more pressure, came back once more with a goal by Lise Munk. In the end of the third period Petra Valjentová settled the match in with her second goal of the day. Denmark still tried to come back and took out the goalkeeper, but this resulted in a empty net goal for Czech Republic. The final score was Denmark 2 Czech Republic 6.

Both Czech Republic and Denmark have improved their game a lot since the WFC 2005 in Singapore, where Denmark became 9th and Czech Republic 7th. Both teams also have a lot of young and talented players for the future Floorball Championships.

MVP: Kristýna Jílková (Cze) and Maria Olausson (Den)
