Sunday:
The finals were played between CUF Leganes and Fuengirola in both men and women.
The women´s final was the first to be played. Although Leganes controlled the game, it was a really tight match, with an extra time, where CUF Leganes scored the last goal of the match to finish 2-1 over Fuengirola.
In the men’s final CUF Leganes started very confident after easy victories in the previous matches, but Fuengirola were eager to win the match in front of the home crowd. Fuengirola scored the first goal after a defensive mistake by Leganés. CUF Leganés had the opportunity to score an equaliser, but they missed the opportunity in a penalty shot. After that, Fuengirola tried to keep the score in 1-0 and when Leganés were pressing hard Fuengirola even managed to make it 2-0 after a mistake by the Leganés goalkeeper (who was playing injured).
That second goal woke CUF Leganes up to battle for the game and in the next shift Leganes made it 2-1. They were back in the game again. Finally they scored the leading goal 3-2 with 5 minutes left. Fuengirola had a power play during the last two minutes of the match, but they didn’t have any good chance to equalize and CUF Leganes won the championship for the fourth time in a row.
