A great day for Floorball in Paris
The final round of the 2006-2007 French Floorball League took place this week-end in Paris. Nine teams from around France took part in the competition which started in December, including three new teams from Lille (6th), Lyon (5th) and the new French champions from Paris Université Club (PUC).
The PUC won all their games this season but the final against the Marseille Rascasses was a spectacular and close one (3-2). 300 people gathered on Sunday to enjoy a few games of Floorball and the great positive spirit that goes around. Most of them were discovering Floorball live for the very first time and were indeed thrilled by the show.
No doubt this week-end was a new milestone in the development of our sport in France. The motivation is rising, the level is improving, clubs are progressively settling down around the country (three new ones are now established in the South West, the North and the East).
To sum it up, France is proud of being part of a growing international Floorball family and wishes all the young associations in particular, the very best in their efforts to promote our great sport around the world.
