The Italian Floorball Association (F.I.U.F.) is running a project to promote floorball in the schools of Rome.

The project includes demonstrative lessons, school tournaments and courses for school teachers. The main instructor is Marcus Tingland, with background as coach of the U14 team of AIK, Sweden. The co-instructors supporting Marcus are Jacopo Fazzi (Rome South Star FC) and Francesco Lapadre (Viking Roma FC).

The project started in the beginning of November and continues for four months. In the first two months 73 lessons were held in 8 schools with a total of 1.143 pupils participating.

The project is seen as an important step to increase interest in Floorball, in particular when the EuroFloorball Cup qualifications will be held in Rome in September 2007. The floorball material utilized in the project has been provided by Zone, technical partner of the Italian Floorball Association.
